DINOS LEFKARITIS

PRESIDENT

Dinos Lefkaritis was born in Larnaka on 17th April 1952. He graduates from Pancyprian and Commercial Lyceum of Larnaka. He studied in England Business Studies in the sector of Insurance, Marine, Marketing and Finance. Military Services 1979 – 1981. He is married with Maria and he has 4 children Christos 47, Andreas 42, Dinos Junior 28 and Alkisti 20. He is the Managing Director (CEO) of Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd and All the Lefkaritis Group of Companies. He is the Executive Chairman of the Companies PPT Aviation Services Ltd (JV Company for the Aviation supply at Larnaka and Paphos Airports)., HAFCO AE (JV Company for Aviation supply at Athens, Salonika, Heraklion, and Zakynthos Airports). VLPG LTD (JV for the LPG Companies in Cyprus)., LAFS LTD (JV for the centralise Depot at Larnaka Airport). And Silk Oil ABE (Petroleum Company in Greece). He is President of Tourist Board of Larnaka. Honourable President of The Chamber of Commerce Larnaka and AEK FC. President of SKI Club and Cyprus Ski Federation. Finally, he is the President of the Company Larnaka 2030.

ANDREAS VYRAS

VICE PRESIDENT

Andreas Vyras was born in 1978 in Larnaka. He graduated from St. George Lyceum and following his army duties, he pursued his studies at the University of Cyprus at the Department of Business and Public Administration specialized at the Banking and Financial Sector. He continued his studies at the Southampton University in England, where he got this Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA). He returned to Cyprus in 2002. Motivated by his interest in public affairs he worked and he participated in many organizations and agencies such as the Ministry of Finance, for two years period and to Famagusta – Larnaka Co-operative Savings Society Ltd, for ten years period as an Internal Auditor and as General Manager. Till his election as Mayor of Larnaka, he was also one of the Managing Executives of the Cooperative Central Bank of Cyprus. During the years 2003 to 2009 he served as a Member and as President of the Youth Board of Cyprus. In 2016 he was elected Mayor of Larnaka and as President of the Union of Cyprus Municipalities. He is married to Andrea Christodoulou and the father of twin children.

PETER ASHDJIAN

SECRETARY

Peter Ashdjian was born on the 03 of December 1978. He was raised in his beloved Larnaka where he graduated from the Pancyprian Lyceum of Larnaka. He continued his studies at the Pandion University in Athens in Political Science and History. On his return to Cyprus, he has been appointed Director of the Pierides Archeological Museum. He has since curated many art exhibitions, lectures, and educational programs. He is the Vice President of the Pierides Foundation, member of the board of the Trust for the Pierides Museum – Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, Member of the Committee for the Acquisition of Artwork for the Ministry of Education and National Gallery of Cyprus, Member of the council of the Trust of Evathia Pierides – Council of visitors and patients’ well-being of Larnaka Hospital, Deputy President of Skala Theatre Board, Member of the Cyprus Museums Committee, and Secretary of the board of the Larnaka Cultural Capital of Europe 2030. In his personal life he is involved with many charity and service organizations. Mostly he is involved in Rotary where he has held many positions in Cyprus and abroad. Most notable is his election as Governor of the Rotary District 2452 for 2025-26 that includes 9 countries. He is married to Andri Ashdjian and they have two daughters, Eugenia and Eva.

COSTAKIS CONSTANTINOU

Costakis Constantinou was born in Nicosia and raised in Larnaca. In 1974 he graduated from St. George`s Lyceum and until 1976 he completed his compulsory military service in National Guard of Cyprus as Reserve Lieutenant. He studied Business Administration at BCA COLLEGE in Athens and he graduated with honors 18 5/6. He is married to Giannoula and he has two children, Alexandros and Marlen. In 1981 he was employed in Larnaca Municipality as Municipal Storekeeper, but at the same time he offered his services in many Municipal Departments such as Cultural Services, Tenders office and for 20 years he was in charge of Christmas decorations for the town. He retired in 2021 in the position of the Head of the Department of the Green Areas of Larnaca Municipality. Since 1997 he has been working for CyBC both the Radio station and T.V channel. He was a Member of boards of PEZOPORIKOS and AEK Larnaca`s football clubs and Provincial Organizing Director of Scouts of Larnaca Province.

DORA HADJICOSTI SOTIRIOU

Dora Hadjicosti Sotiriou was born in Ormidia village in Larnaka district, where she lives. She is married to Xenios and has two children, Sotiris and Chryso. After graduating from Agios Georgios High School, she studied at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens. Following her graduation, she worked in secondary schools. She was also involved in school and amateur theatre for many years. She participated in juries for Professional, Amateur and School Theatre and she served as a member of the Board of Directors and the Artistic Committee of the Cyprus Theatre Organisation (CTO-“THOC”). She is a member, and for the last six years chairperson, of the committee of the “Tefkros Anthias-Thodosis Pierides” Cultural Contribution Award, an award given to people of Arts and Letters for their long and recognized contribution to culture. She has been the founder of the Ormidia Cultural Association “TO RODI”. For many years, she has been the Associaton’s President and now its Vice-President. During her presidency, the Cultural Association was highly active in organizing exchanges and events with groups of young people in Europe, within the framework of European programs. She is active on cultural issues for various committees. She studied Cypriot dialectical poetry and edited editions of poems by folk poets.

ELENA TANOU

MEMBER

She is an important and highly dynamic professional who has built and expanded a travel and tourism business internationally over the last thirty years. She studied in Switzerland, where she obtained a BA (Hons) Travel & Tourism Management degree. She specialized in the field of special interest travel and Conference Tourism. She is an active supporter of the development of the private sector in the economy of Cyprus. She served as Vice President of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of the Nicosia Tourism Board for 3 terms. Today she is Chairman of the BioBank Board of Directors, Chairman of the Phoenician road from the Council of Europe, Vice-Chairman of the Cyprus Integrity Forum and the International Chambers in Cyprus. She is an activist in matters of commercial transparency and entrepreneurship. She was a member of the Board of Directors of CIPA (Invest Cyprus). She has been the President of the Cypriot Federation of Business Women and Professionals (BPW), European Ambassador of Business Women and was named Business Woman of the Year for 2012 by the prestigious Madame Figaro. She has extensive experience in European programs related to tourism, entrepreneurship and young people and is member of the Business Advisory Council of the universities of Cyprus and Nicosia.

COSMINA THEODOULOU

Cosmina Theodoulou (née Dutan) was born in Romania on the 11th of April 1976 and has lived in Larnaka since 2005. She is married to Sozos-Christos Theodoulou, a lawyer from Larnaka, and they have two children, Christos (born 2008) and Ioana (born 2011). She holds a multi-disciplinary doctorate in Physical Chemistry from the University of Geneva, Switzerland; a Master’s degree (D.E.A.) in Astrophysics and Spatial Techniques from the University of Paris VII, France; a Master’s degree in Atomic and Molecular Physics from the University of Bucharest, Romania and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the same university. She is the co-author of a series of scientific articles published in international reputable journals and she has worked as an academic for well-known Universities in Switzerland, UK and Cyprus. Currently, she works at UCLan Cyprus as the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance and she is member of the Executive Committee of the University as well as the Chair of the UCLan Cyprus Quality Assurance Committee, the Chair of the Erasmus Committee and member of academic committees of UCLan Cyprus and UCLan, UK. She is also a member of the Cyprus National Team of Experts for Vocational Education and Training (VET).

FOTOS DEMETRIOU

Fotos Dimitriou was born in Famagusta, Cyprus, in 1955. Between 1976 and 1983, he studied Porcelain and Ceramics at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and obtained the title of Academic Sculptor, equivalent to a Master of Arts. Since 1983, he has been working in Larnaca, at his art studio. During his long career, he took part in numerous exhibitions, solo and group, in Cyprus. He has also participated in group exhibitions in Italy, Malta, Belgium, Greece, Australia, France, Germany and Egypt. In 1995 and 1999, he was awarded the third prize at the Pan-Hellenic Ceramic Exhibition. In 2000, he was selected to participate in the Cairo International Ceramics Biennale and a year later at the Design Biennale in Saint Etienne, France. He composes his work combining different kinds of materials such as clay, glass, bronze, fiberglass, industrial wire and wood with originality and imagination. He deals with a variety of subjects but the main inspiration for his work is the human figure and nature. Through his work he depicts an open dialogue with people, birds and all kinds of creatures belonging to our or to an imaginary world.

STAVROS STAVROU

MEMBER

Mr Stavrou was born in Alambra (1959) and studied at The English School Nicosia and was subsequently awarded a First Class Honors Degree from Middlesex Polytechnic (London) (BA Accounting and Finance with Hons). Mr. Stavrou is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of UK and Ireland. He is also a holder of Diploma for Non-Executive Directors. He served in a number of operational positions including that of Group CFO from 1993-2003 and Managing Director from 2003-2008 in the Oil and Gas industry. He served as a Member of Trustees of the International School of Monaco from 1998-2003. He served and/or continues to serve as Non-Executive Independent Director in a number of Boards in various industries including Banking, Insurance, Reinsurance, Mining, Software Development, Property Development, Construction, Shipping and others. He is currently the President of the Larnaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a Member of the Executive Committee of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
