The classic "Snakes & Ladders" game has been adapted as a large-sized game (72 square meter) that motivates children to adopt green practices in their everyday lives. The game came to life through the creative collaboration of two local artists, Maria Kramvi and Theodora Challouma.
The game has been presented on April 2nd, 2023 at Zouhouri Square, on the occasion of the presentation of Larnaka 2030’s logo. Since then, it visits “on demand” schools in the city and the region, local festivals and events, inviting the children to have fun by adopting green habits.
Idea – Concept: Maria Kramvi, musician & music teacher
Illustration: Theodora Challouma, illustrator
How to play:
The game is played in groups and is suitable for children aged 7+. By rolling the dice, the players follow the snake's path, moving as many squares as the number of the dice, with the goal of reaching the finish line. At each stop, children must follow the instructions written in the game board according to the colour of each square and learn a new green practice.
