Bi-communal WG of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots

This WG was established in collaboration with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) and aims to bring together Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, enhancing peacebuilding efforts, strengthening human connections and
cultivating lasting bonds.

Through this WG, we have established the Larnaka – Famagusta Network, creating a bridge between the two cities and giving the opportunity to TkCypriot artists and people to equally become co-creators of our programme.

This WG meets virtually and physically in both cities and until now it collaborates with other WGs to implement a considerable number of activities, ranging from a study visit to Iskele, to a street party in the old city of Famagusta and from workshops on memory and reconciliation to bread baking in Ayios Theodoros, a mixed village prior to 1974, bringing GrCypriot and TkCypriot women with their grandchildren to bake together in their common village prior to 1974, cherishing memories of the past.
