This exciting project, which introduces participants to the history of the Larnaka district, in its first phase includes the organization of five interdisciplinary walks in the communities of the newly established Municipality of Dromolaxia – Meneou.
The walks are the result of co-creation with artists, residents, and local organizations, so that participants can discover the history and identity of the communities through resident’s stories and various artistic activities. Historical sites and cultural structures come alive through personal stories of the residents, which shed light on unseen aspects of the past as well as on unknown events that shaped the development of the respective communities over time. The journey began with the community of Pervolia (November 2024), followed by Kiti (February 2025) and Dromolaxia (September 2025). So far, the walks have been warmly received by both residents and visitors, reflecting the strong public interest in the local history of the communities surrounding the city of Larnaka.
