Count Me In: Increasing the participation of Deaf people in the perception of culture

Accessibility in culture ensures equal participation, expression, and enjoyment for all, including Deaf individuals. It promotes diversity, inclusion, and social cohesion, and upholds the fundamental right of every person to meaningfully engage in cultural life.

However, barriers in communication and access in cultural still persists.

Count me In aims at changing this, through preparing cultural managers and event organizers in how to creative inclusive environments for Deaf individuals throughout the phases of a project: from the design phase to the implementation and active engagement of Deaf individuals.

The Vision:

To make a significant impact by pushing boundaries and reshaping conventions in the realm of inclusive cultural engagement. We emphasize the creation of innovative solutions to enhance audience involvement and promote the inclusion of Deaf individuals in global cultural events.

The Goals:

· Assess the impact of culture on sign languages

· Develop training for institutions on the specificity of Deaf people and sign language

· Organise international meetings in the field of culture

· Train at least 80 representatives of cultural institutions and the creative sector from Poland, Greece, and Cyprus

· Engage at least 120 people in activities and dissemination seminars
